Bing Webmaster Tools SEO Workflows with AI

MCPBundles

TL;DR

  • The Bing Webmaster Tools MCP server on MCPBundles covers keyword research, site add/verify, sitemap feeds, IndexNow URL pings, URL submission, and property traffic reads — the workflows we used to onboard mcpbundles.com on Bing.
  • During build, Bing’s keyword API reported on the order of ~700 US impressions in 28 days for “model context protocol” and a cluster of related “mcp server” queries — enough signal to prioritize guides and skill pages on Microsoft search, not just Google.
  • IndexNow is the fast path Bing documents for changed URLs; the same bundle exposes it next to classic Webmaster sitemap and submit-url tools so agents can notify after a deploy without a separate script.

We already run organic growth through Google Search Console in chat. Bing matters for Copilot, Windows search, and the slice of users who never touch Google’s console. Rather than bolting on a one-off script, we built a Bing Webmaster Tools MCP server and used it on our own site first: verify the property, register the sitemap index, ping launch URLs with IndexNow, and pull keyword ideas before we commit to the next /guides page.

Bing Webmaster workflows — verification, sitemaps, IndexNow, and keyword research — through conversation instead of another tab stack.

Why Bing in the agent stack

Google still drives most of our reported clicks, but Microsoft surfaces are real discovery paths for developer content. Bing Webmaster Tools is the supported place to register sites, submit sitemaps, inspect feeds, and read query performance for your properties. Separately, Bing exposes market-wide keyword research APIs (volume-style impression estimates and related queries) that are not the same as “queries that already hit my site.”

An agent that only has Search Console sees Google. An agent with both can answer: “What should we write for Bing demand?” and “Did Bing pick up the page we shipped yesterday?”

Keyword research before you write the page

Guide and skill launches fail when the title targets a query nobody types. We use bing_webmaster_keyword_volume and bing_webmaster_related_keywords with a country and language (typically us / en-US) before locking a headline.

Example prompts that match how we work:

"For the US market in Bing keyword research, what are related queries to 'mcp server' and how many impressions did each get in the last 28 days?"

"How many Bing impressions did 'model context protocol' get in the US over the last 28 days?"

When we ran those during development, related terms surfaced variants like “mcp servers”, “mcp meaning”, and long-tail “acme mcp server” style patterns — useful for deciding which connect guides to prioritize on /guides without guessing from Google alone.

Onboard the site: verify, sitemap, feeds

Property setup is the unglamorous prerequisite. The bundle exposes bing_webmaster_add_site, bing_webmaster_list_sites (with verification hints), and bing_webmaster_verify_site so an agent can walk through DNS or meta verification once your DNS or layout is ready.

After verification, bing_webmaster_submit_feed registers a sitemap URL; bing_webmaster_list_feeds confirms Bing fetched it. We registered https://www.mcpbundles.com/sitemap.xml and saw the index come back as a sitemap index with child feeds — the same structure our frontend already publishes for Google.

IndexNow and URL submission after ship

Sitemaps are the baseline; they are not instant. For new or updated URLs — especially /guides pages targeting competitive MCP terms — we ping IndexNow through bing_webmaster_indexnow, passing absolute URLs and the hosted key file on our domain. That is the workflow we recommend after each guide or skill ship: batch IndexNow first, then optionally bing_webmaster_submit_url for a small set of hero URLs if you want an extra nudge inside Bing’s submission quota.

IndexNow also reaches other participating engines; Google still needs Search Console for Google-specific inspection and recrawl requests.

Read performance on your property

Once Bing has history, bing_webmaster_traffic_stats and bing_webmaster_query_stats on your verified site_url mirror the “how is my site doing?” questions you ask in Search Console — daily clicks and impressions, top queries for the property. New properties stay empty for a few days; that is normal.

Pair with keyword research when planning content, and with property stats when reviewing what actually landed.

Connect and try it

Connect Bing Webmaster Tools on MCPBundles and sign in with Microsoft for production use. Example prompts and FAQs live on the skill page.

"List my Bing Webmaster sites and show verification status."

"Submit our sitemap URL and list feeds for https://www.example.com/."

"Ping these guide URLs through IndexNow after today’s deploy."

"Research Bing US impressions for 'build mcp server' and list related queries."
