As of May 2026 we recommend the remote URL path: copy the MCP URL from any server page, then in Claude Desktop go to Settings → Connectors, click the + button, and choose Add custom connector. Paste the URL, click Add, then select the connector under Not connected and click Connect to complete OAuth. Prefer one click? Each server page also offers a .mcpb installer that pastes an API key instead of using OAuth.
