Explain Schedule Type

Define a working-hours schedule precisely: what it means, whether it genuinely reduces hours, and whether it is full pay. Call this before characterising any schedule in an answer. It is the authority on the distinction users and articles most often get wrong: a compressed 4x10 gives four days but not fewer hours, and is not a 4-day week. Omit the argument to get every definition at once.
