Returns current Alaska 511 traffic events for a specific roadway/filter. For the daily report, prefer get_daily_briefing instead, which covers all 5 tracked highways in a single call. Use this tool only for one-off lookups outside the standard 5 highways, or to filter by event type.

Get Alaska 511 traffic camera images

Returns Alaska 511 traffic camera locations and up to 2 randomly-sampled live images per location (to keep responses compact). Optionally filter by roadway name, e.g. 'Seward', 'Glenn', 'Parks', 'Sterling', 'Knik'. Only enabled camera views are included. Each result includes a styledImageUrl (a framed, ready-to-publish version with a white border and drop shadow — use this one when embedding in the report) and a rawImageUrl (the unmodified source, as a fallback if styling ever fails).

Get today's traffic events for all 5 tracked highways in one call

The primary tool for building the daily report. Fetches Alaska 511 traffic events once and returns them pre-grouped into Parks Highway, Glenn Highway, Seward Highway, Sterling Highway, and Knik Goose Bay Road — replacing 5 separate get_traffic_events calls with a single one. Use this instead of calling get_traffic_events per highway.
