Score a resume against a job

Use this when a user wants to know how well their resume or CV matches a specific job description, or asks for an ATS / match score, a keyword gap, or concrete fixes to tailor their resume to a role. Returns a 0-100 match score, a category breakdown, matched and missing keywords, and the top fixes. Re-run it whenever the user edits their resume or pastes a different job so the score and gaps stay current. Do not use for writing the resume from scratch or for general career chat.

Analyse a job posting

Use this when a user pastes a job description or posting and wants it broken down: the must-have vs nice-to-have skills, the seniority level, the keywords an ATS will look for, and any red flags in the posting. Needs only the job description, not a resume. Re-run it whenever the user pastes a revised or different posting. Do not use for scoring a resume against the job (use score_resume_against_job for that).

Draft a cover letter

Use this when a user wants a cover letter written for a specific job, tailored to their resume. Needs the job description and the candidate's resume text; optionally a tone and the hiring manager's name. Returns a ready-to-edit cover letter grounded in the resume, plus the resume points it used. Re-draft it whenever the user updates their resume, the job, or the tone. Do not invent experience the resume does not show.

Prep for an interview

Use this when a user wants to prepare for an interview for a specific role. Needs the job description; the resume is optional and makes the questions more personal. Returns the likely interview questions with why each is asked and an answer approach, plus questions the candidate can ask the interviewer. Refresh it whenever the user updates the role or their resume. Do not use to score a resume.
