  • Convert Bank Statement

Start converting a PDF bank statement. Call this when the user provides a statement to convert. Pass either file_url (a downloadable http(s) link) or file_base64 (the PDF bytes, base64-encoded). Costs 1 credit per page. Returns a conversion id — poll get_conversion until status is "completed", then call get_conversion_result.

  • Get Conversion

Check the status of a conversion. Status is one of queued, processing, completed, failed. Extraction typically takes 1-3 minutes — wait ~30 seconds between polls. When completed, the response summarizes the detected accounts and their verification status.

  • Get Conversion Result

Fetch the converted transactions for a completed conversion. format: "markdown" (default — tables ready to read or show), "json" (structured, signed amounts: deposits positive / withdrawals negative), "csv", or "jsonl". provenance: "none", "summary" (default — per-row page/line citation, source text, and verification status), or "full" (adds per-field source text and confidence). Use account to select a single account by index when the statement has several.

  • List Conversions

List the team's recent conversions (newest first), including ones started from the CapyParse dashboard. Use this to find a conversion id when the user refers to an earlier statement.

  • Get Credits

Check the team's remaining conversion credits (1 credit = 1 page). Call this before converting large documents, or when a conversion fails with an insufficient-credits error.
