Castor EDC is a cloud-based electronic data capture platform designed for clinical research, enabling users to collect, manage, and analyze medical research data securely. Use it for efficient data management and improved compliance in clinical trials.

Data Model

• Studies — clinical programs identified by study_id; every downstream object hangs off that anchor.
• Study configuration — forms, fields, validation rules, dependencies, option groups, visits, surveys, survey packages, roles, and investigative sites.
• Operational data — audit trails, per-study statistics, and rostered users.
• Global reference — shared country codes plus cross-study user directories.

Gotchas

• Regional hosts — EU uses data.castoredc.com, UK uk.castoredc.com, US us.castoredc.com, AU au.castoredc.com. Match the API base URL to where the study is hosted; wrong region fails token exchange or returns empty data.
• Study-scoped reads — most list tools require study_id from castor_edc_list_study before drilling into forms, fields, sites, visits, or audit trails.
• Pagination — list endpoints accept page (cursor token) and page_size (default varies by endpoint; max typically 1000).
• Read-only bundle — this integration lists configuration and metadata only; data capture and mutations stay in the Castor UI.
