List survey industries

START HERE. Lists the industries Censuble has ready-made survey templates for (e.g. senior living) and the templates available in each. Use the returned guidance to ask the customer which industry fits their organization and whether they want to start from a template or build from scratch, then call survey-design.

Design a survey

Create or refine a draft Censuble survey. Start a new draft from a template (template_key from survey-list-industries) or from scratch (from_scratch:true + industry). Continue refining an existing draft by passing its session_id with any of name, description, or questions. Returns a session_id + draft_token; call survey-preview next to get a live preview link. Nothing is written to an account — this is a draft only.

Preview a survey

Return a live preview URL for a draft survey (from survey-design). Open it in a browser to see exactly how the survey looks and behaves. The preview is read-only: no account is required and no responses are submitted or saved. Share it with the customer to confirm the design before registering.

Save the survey to your account

Save the designed survey into the signed-in user's Censuble account as a draft they own. Requires the user to be signed in (the client will prompt for a Censuble login the first time). If the user belongs to more than one workspace, this returns the list of workspaces — ask the user which one, then call again with company_uuid. The survey is saved as a draft; the user publishes it from their Censuble dashboard (publishing requires a verified email).

Publish the survey (go live)

Publish a saved survey so it goes live and starts collecting responses. Save it first with survey-save. Requires the user to be signed in with a VERIFIED email — if their email is not verified, this returns a friendly message asking them to verify first (owning/designing does not require verification, only publishing does). Pass survey_uuid to publish a specific survey, or omit it to publish the one just saved in this session.

Begin account registration

Hand the customer a URL to finish creating their Censuble account in the browser. Registration provisions their workspace and turns the drafted survey into a real survey they own — the agent never handles credentials. Returns a registration URL for the current design session; give it to the customer to open themselves.

Survey design status

Report the status of a survey design session: its state (designing / previewed / registering / claimed), industry, template, the current draft summary, and the preview and registration links. Use it to resume a session or check whether the customer has finished registering.

Ping Tool

Health check — returns a pong so a client can confirm the Censuble MCP server is reachable and responding. Takes an optional note that is echoed back.
