Get Profile

The signed-in Cinematique user's profile and how many titles they track. Use only when the answer needs their username, join date or library size — it is not a prerequisite for the other tools.

Search Library

Search the user's own tracked movies and shows. Combine filters to answer questions like 'unwatched sci-fi under two hours' or 'anime I rated highly'. Genre, runtime and anime filters need external metadata and may evaluate only part of the library, so always read `coverage` before presenting filtered results. When `coverage.complete` is false the items are the matches found in the part that was checked, not the full set: say how much was checked rather than implying the list is exhaustive, and

Get Watchlist

The user's plan-to-watch titles that they have not started, unfiltered. Use for plain watchlist browsing. For a recommendation with any constraint — time available, genre, rating, year, anime — use search_library with watchlist=true instead: it is the only path that can apply those filters.

Get Recent Activity

The titles the user watched most recently, newest first — one entry per movie or show, based on its latest watch. Use for 'what have I been watching lately'. This returns the N most recent distinct titles, not everything watched in some recent period: use get_history when 'lately' means a number of days or a date range, or when the answer needs individual episode and movie events or counts.

Get History

Individual watch events in a date range: episodes with their show, season and episode numbers, plus movie watches. Use for 'what did I watch in July'. `counts` is computed over the whole range on the server and is exact however few events fit in the page, so answer 'how many episodes did I watch' from `counts` — never by counting the returned events, and never by raising `limit` to make them all fit.

Get Stats

Aggregate viewing statistics: lifetime totals, a per-YEAR breakdown only — never months or individual dates — plus most-watched shows and rating distribution. For a specific month or date range use get_history instead. Aggregated server-side. Read the 'caveats' field and surface what it says before quoting numbers.

Get Media Details

Extra tracking detail for one title already in the user's library: rewatch cycles, individual watch dates, skipped-episode count, when tracking started. Takes a ref from another tool, e.g. "tv:1396". Status, rating and progress already come back from search_library and get_recent_activity — do not call this only to reconfirm them. Personal data only, not a TMDB lookup.
