Search

Search documents on elephant.md (full-text + semantic, fused). Ranked by relevance blended with freshness (recency) and usage — use `sort` to override. With a token, defaults to YOUR library — documents you own plus those you've bookmarked, including saved collections — so you search your own context, not the whole public corpus. Pass scope:"public" to search all public documents. Without a token, searches public documents.

Fetch

Fetch a document's content by username and slug. Token-efficient: pass `section` to return only one heading's body, or `maxTokens` to cap the size (truncated with a marker). The response reports `estTokens` (returned) and `fullEstTokens` (the whole doc) so you can budget.

Discover

Discover documents using natural language semantic search (powered by embeddings). Ranked by semantic match blended with freshness + usage — use `sort` to override. With a token, defaults to YOUR library (owned + bookmarked); pass scope:"public" to search all public documents.

Route-then-read in ONE call: searches your context for `query`, returns ranked summary cards, and inlines the top documents' full content up to `tokenBudget` so you get usable context in a single round trip. Also returns the most relevant collections to drill into, and `candidates` (cards not inlined) you can `fetch` later. Find Collections

Find the most relevant COLLECTIONS for a query — route to the right collection, then `search_collection` or `fetch_collection` it. Ranks your collections by how well their documents (and name/summary) match. Requires a token; collections are personal (there is no public collection index).

Search Collection

Search WITHIN one collection (full-text + semantic, scope-gated to that collection's members). Use after find_collections to drill into the right collection.

My Documents

List your own documents (including private and unlisted). Requires authentication token.

Propose

Propose a new document draft for review. Requires authentication token. The draft will be stored for 7 days pending user approval.

Create Burn Link

Mint a self-destructing share link (burn link) for ephemeral content. mode 'timed' (default) expires after `ttl`; mode 'viewonce' is destroyed after the first view (30-day expiry backstop). The document is unlisted, never appears in search, and is permanently deleted when it burns. Returns the shareable URL. Requires authentication token.

Overview

Your starting map: a cheap table of contents of the context available to you. With a token, returns your own + bookmarked collections as cards (grouped by scope) plus totals — call this first, then get_context/search_collection/fetch_collection to drill in. Without a token, returns trending public collections as a starting point.

Fetch Collection

Fetch a whole collection token-efficiently. mode 'summaries' (default) returns a card per member (no bodies) — scan these first; mode 'full' concatenates member bodies in document order honoring `maxTokens` (whole docs until the budget is hit; the first is truncated if it alone exceeds it). Replaces the get_collection + N×fetch round trip.

Bookmark

Bookmark (save) a document or a collection. Bookmarking a collection subscribes you to it — documents added to it later are automatically in your scope. Requires authentication token.

Save Document

Alias of `bookmark`. Bookmark a document (optionally adding it to a collection) or bookmark a collection. Requires authentication token.

Create Collection

Create a new collection. Requires authentication token.

Update Document

Update metadata or content of a document you own. Requires authentication token.
