List Api Categories

List all available EnergyCAP API categories and the number of endpoints in each. Use this ONLY when the user wants to fetch live data. If the user is asking how something works, what a feature is, or how to do something, call search_help_center instead.

Get Esa Channel Status

Get instructions for checking the health/status of interval data (ESA) meters. Use this when the user asks whether their interval meters are online, offline, or delayed, or which meters need attention. Returns a playbook; follow up with call_energycap_api to fetch the actual data.

Call Energycap Api

Call an EnergyCAP API endpoint. Provide the path (from list_category_endpoints), HTTP method (default GET), a JSON dict of parameters, and an optional body for POST/PUT requests. Path parameters like {billId} are interpolated from params; remaining params are sent as query string arguments. To filter results, include a 'filter' key in params with the filter expression, e.g. {"filter": "accountId equals '1234'"}. Paginated endpoints return one page per call. The response includes a "pagination"

Get Entity Url

Generate a deep link URL to an entity in the EnergyCAP web application. Supported entity types: account, bill, building, commodity, costcenter, meter, organization, vendor. Returns a clickable URL for the given entity type and ID.

Calculate

Evaluate an arithmetic expression and return the exact result. ALWAYS use this tool for arithmetic instead of computing in your head. Never do mental math on values you read from an API response or a Help Center article — sums, differences, products, quotients, percentages, percent changes, unit conversions, and averages must all go through this tool, however simple they look. If you are about to write a number that is the result of a calculation, call this tool first and use what it returns.

Search the EnergyCAP Help Center for how-to guides, feature explanations, conceptual overviews, and troubleshooting. This is the PREFERRED tool for most questions — use it whenever the user asks what something is, how to do something, how a feature works, what a term means, about reports or analytics, about release notes or updates, about workflows or best practices, about configuration or setup, or about troubleshooting. Only skip this tool when the user explicitly wants to fetch live data fro

List Category Endpoints

List all GET and allowed POST/PUT endpoints in a given API category with their paths, summaries, and parameters. Use the exact category name from list_api_categories. Endpoints marked **Paginated** return one page at a time — see the pagination note on the endpoint.
