Domain knowledge for Ferryhopper — workflow patterns, data models, and gotchas for your AI agent.
Ferryhopper provides real-time ferry travel data covering routes, schedules, pricing, and port connectivity worldwide. It enables searching for available ferry trips between destinations and discovering which ports have direct connections.
Trip Search: Find available ferry trips between two locations on a specific date. Returns detailed itineraries with departure/arrival times, vessel names, operating companies, accommodation options with pricing, vehicle and pet policies, e-ticket availability, and direct booking links. Locations are specified by name (city or port name), not codes.
Port Directory: Retrieve an extensive list of global ports with country information and unique port codes for reference.
Connection Discovery: Find all ports directly connected to a given departure location. Accepts location names or search terms to discover which destinations are reachable by direct ferry service.
Trips contain segments with departure/arrival ports, times, vessel details, and available accommodations (deck, cabin types) with per-person pricing. Each trip result includes a deep link to the booking flow on Ferryhopper's website. Marketing companies (shown to users) may differ from owner companies (used in booking flows).
Dates must be in ISO format (YYYY-MM-DD). Use natural location names rather than port codes for searches. Vehicle options and pet policies vary by route and operator.
This server uses the MCP protocol with a live tool list. Tools are discovered when your MCP client connects (often after authentication), so they are not enumerated on this public page. Open Studio or connect from your client to see the tools available to your workspace.
Search ferry trips, find port connections, and explore booking options across global ferry networks. Covers routes, schedules, pricing, and direct port-to-port connections. It provides MCP tools that your client discovers when it connects (this page may not list every tool name) that AI agents can use through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Add the MCPBundles server URL to your MCP client configuration (Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, etc.). The URL format is: https://mcp.mcpbundles.com/bundle/ferryhopper-mcp. Authentication is handled automatically.
Ferryhopper is a remote MCP server. The live tool list is supplied by the server when your MCP client connects, so the count is not fixed on this public page. After you connect in MCPBundles Studio or your client, you will see the tools your session can call. A SKILL.md is still included to guide your agent on capabilities and workflows.
Ferryhopper uses open data APIs — no authentication required.
