For AI agents — MCPBundles Directory API
Recommended: Directory API v1 over HTTP for detail and anonymous invoke when eligible (not MCP JSON-RPC on the publisher URL; no user MCPBundles credentials on v1).
GET https://www.mcpbundles.com/api/directory/v1/servers/get-mcp-1267fba8d6
GET https://www.mcpbundles.com/api/directory/v1/servers/get-mcp-1267fba8d6?live=1 (optional live refresh)
GET https://www.mcpbundles.com/api/directory/v1/servers/get-mcp-1267fba8d6/tools/<tool> (one tool: schema + invoke.url)
POST https://www.mcpbundles.com/api/directory/v1/servers/get-mcp-1267fba8d6/tools/{tool}
POST body: flat JSON of tool argument names and values; not an arguments wrapper. Replace {tool} with a tool name from GET detail.
Restricted agent shell (ChatGPT Codex desktop, some IDE sandboxes):
Default command sandboxes often block outbound network. curl exit 6 or "Could not resolve host" for www.mcpbundles.com is usually sandbox DNS — not evidence this site is down.
Retry the same Directory API GET with sandbox_permissions "require_escalated" and a one-sentence justification on the shell tool (Codex on-request approval). Do not tell the user the site is unreachable from sandbox curl alone.
Example justification: Run the public MCPBundles Directory API search outside the command sandbox to complete the user's MCP server lookup.
If the agent has browser access (e.g. Codex @Browser): open https://www.mcpbundles.com/?q=<query> or stay on this page — no shell network needed. Use WebMCP search_mcp_servers then get_mcp_server (document.modelContext / page tools; refresh with fetchTools or getTools if a tool id is missing from the snapshot). Read-only directory search; same index as Directory API v1 GETs. Neither WebMCP nor Directory API v1 uses user MCPBundles credentials.
Without a browser: after escalated curl fails, use GET https://www.mcpbundles.com/?q=<query> with Accept: text/markdown for ranked results.
Hub MCP (connected session): discover_mcp_servers — same filter semantics as search_mcp_servers.

Tool inventory (7 tools)

Create Board — Create a new Ink board and get a token for writing to it. Call this first, whenever the user asks you to map, diagram, plan, or lay something out visually, or asks for a board. No account or payment is needed. Returns the board id, a token to authenticate later calls, and a URL the user can open to watch you work — give them that URL.
Read Board — Read the board's current contents as a compact outline. Call this before editing anything you did not create in this session, and whenever you need the handle of an existing object. Returns frames, objects and links with their #handles — cite those handles when you refer to objects. Needs the token from create_board.
Write Board — Add, change, or remove objects on the board. Send every operation for one edit in a single call rather than calling repeatedly — operations can reference objects created earlier in the same call, so a whole diagram costs one round trip. Either the whole batch applies or none of it does. Returns a map from your refs to real board handles. Needs the token from create_board.
Read Records — Read the submissions this board's inputs and buttons have collected — form responses, sign-ups, button clicks. Call this whenever the user asks what a shared or embedded board has received. Returns the newest records with their field values. Needs the token from create_board.
Wait For Ask — Wait for a question someone pins to the board. Call this in a loop when the user asks you to watch a board, go interactive, or answer what they mark on the canvas. Blocks up to `wait` seconds and returns any open asks — each with its question, anchor handle, and a description of the marked region. When one arrives: read the context, write your answer with write_board into a frame placed {"near":"<anchor>"}, connect the frame to the anchor, then call answer_ask. Loop again with the returned `now`
Answer Ask — Mark an ask answered — AFTER writing the answer onto the board with write_board. Refused when nothing has been written since the ask was created: the answer is board content, this call only closes the question. Optionally name the objects that make up your reply so the asker's 'jump to reply' lands on them.
