Search Properties
Search published rental listings. All filters optional. Date ranges are checked with get_quote / get_availability, not here.
Get Property
Full detail for one listing: description, photos with captions, rooms and their features, amenities, nearby attractions, rates, house rules, rating, location.
Get Availability
Day-by-day availability calendar (free / booked / blocked) with the applicable nightly price, for a date range.
Get Quote
Price a stay: total rent for the dates (best day/week/month rate combination), fees, deposit, and whether the dates are available. End date is exclusive (check-out day).
Get Property Reviews
Reviews and ratings left for a property after completed stays.
Register
Create an Idle Nests account (works without prior authentication). On success this MCP session is signed in as the new user.
Sign in with an existing account. On success this MCP session stays authenticated for subsequent tool calls.
Logout
Sign out: revokes the API token used by this session.
My Account
The signed-in user's profile.
My Properties
Listings owned by the signed-in user (all statuses, incl. drafts).
My Bookings
Bookings involving the signed-in user, both as renter and as landlord.
My Threads
Message threads for the signed-in user, with unread counts.
My Favorites
The signed-in user's saved (favorited) listings.
Set Favorite
Save or unsave a listing. Saved listings double as a watch list: the user is notified about edits, price changes, and dates freeing up.
Request Booking
Request to book a stay (status starts as pending until the landlord responds). End date is exclusive. Use get_quote first to check price and availability.
Respond Booking
Act on a booking: landlords accept or decline pending requests; the renter (or landlord) cancels. Accepting blocks those dates on the calendar.
Read Thread
Read the messages in one thread (marks them read).
Send Message
Send a message. Pass thread_id to reply in an existing thread, or property_id to start a new enquiry thread with that listing's landlord.
Write Review
Review a completed stay (1-5 rating). Renters review the property; landlords review the renter. One review per side per booking.
Create Property
Create a new listing as a draft. Publish it later with update_property (status = published) once rates and details are in place.
Update Property
Edit an owned listing. Only the fields provided are changed. Setting status controls the lifecycle: draft, published, paused, archived.
Set Rates
Replace an owned listing's pricing. Each rate is per day, week, or month; date-bounded entries act as seasonal overrides.
Block Dates
Mark a date range of an owned listing unavailable (e.g. personal use).
Unblock Dates
Remove an availability block from an owned listing (frees the dates; watchers are notified). Block ids appear in get_availability for owners.
Get Ical Feed
Secret iCal export URL for an owned listing — subscribe from Airbnb, Booking.com, or Google Calendar to mirror stays and blocks.
