江油市教师进修学校始建于1960年8月。2002年5月，江油市人民政府为整合教育资源，将江油市教师进修学校、绵阳电大江油分校、江油市成人中等专业学校三校合并，形成了成人继续教育的新格局。学校现有教职工52人，其中专任教师47人，其中高级讲师8人，中专讲师22人。面向中小学教师和社会人员开展各类培训以及电大、奥鹏等本专科教育工作。
