Keep the cartToken from the first call and pass it on every later call — it is the only handle to the cart. Items are re-validated and re-priced server-side.

Convert a cart into an order request. Step "submit" collects contact and fulfillment details and emails the customer a 6-digit verification code; step "confirm" completes the order with that code. No payment happens in this conversation: Kiso confirms the order and sends a Stripe invoice by email, and production starts after payment. Carts with freight-class items become a freight quote request instead. Never guess the verification code; ask the user for it.

Basic status needs both to match exactly; full detail (line items and amounts) additionally requires a fresh emailed verification code — omit verificationCode to have one sent. Validate a full component configuration against manufacturable constraints and return the normalized spec with an itemized price. Dimensions are canonical millimetres (widthMm…) on a 1 mm grid; legacy inch fields (widthIn…) on the ⅛″ grid are still accepted and converted.
