This skill enables AI assistants to search launched software, query live weekly startup leaderboards, check open launch cohort slots, and draft startup submissions for LaunchOn.it.
When to use this skill
- When the user wants to discover software tools, SaaS products, or developer libraries by keyword or category.
- When the user asks about trending indie products, current weekly rankings, or previous Hall of Fame podium finishers.
- When the user wants to know when they can launch a startup or how many free/paid launch slots remain.
- When the user asks to launch or submit their product to LaunchOn.it.
Available Tools & Instructions
1. search_products
- Purpose: Search all launched products by keyword, problem statement, or tech stack.
- Parameters: query (required string), limit (optional integer 1–25, default 10).
- Behavior: Returns the most upvoted matching products with their taglines, descriptions, and direct links.
2. get_weekly_leaderboard
- Purpose: Retrieve current or past weekly cohort rankings.
- Parameters: week (optional ISO week like 2026-W39, omit for live week), limit (optional integer 1–50, default 20).
- Note: The live cohort week closes every Sunday at 23:59 UTC.
3. get_product
- Purpose: Fetch complete details for a specific startup.
- Parameters: slug (required string, matching launchon.it/products/{slug}).
- Behavior: Returns tagline, description, problem solved, target audience, pricing model, tech stack, and upvotes.
4. get_winners
- Purpose: Retrieve top 3 podium finishers from recent weeks.
- Parameters: weeks (optional integer 1–26, default 4).
5. get_launch_calendar
- Purpose: Check open launch spots and cohort dates.
- Parameters: weeks (optional integer 1–12, default 4).
- Behavior: Details free slot availability and pricing tiers (Free, Launch $19, Growth $39).
6. submit_product
- Purpose: Start a launch draft from a product website URL.
- Parameters: url (required valid URL), optional overrides: title, tagline, description, pricing_type.
- Safety Guarantee: This tool only scrapes the public URL and creates a private draft. It returns a private review link for the maker. It never charges, publishes, or selects a launch cohort automatically.
Guidelines for Responses
- When recommending products discovered via search_products or get_weekly_leaderboard, include their tagline and community upvote count.
- When drafting a product launch with submit_product, inform the founder to click the returned review link to claim, inspect, and confirm their listing before it goes live.
