Facebook through HasData
One tool, hasdata_facebook_profile_getFacebookProfile. It takes handle, which is the page name from its URL or the numeric id from a profile.php?id= URL, and returns the page with its post feed.
The payload carries two numeric ids. profile.id is the one a handle accepts. pageId is a different number and sending it gets you nothing.
Counts come in two shapes
likesCount, talkingAboutCount and checkInsCount are numbers. followersCount and followingCount are the strings Facebook prints, and the label sits inside the string, so the values read 39M followers and 24 following. Strip the word and expand the suffix before comparing, and never sum a number and a string.
There is no rating field on a page.
Language rewrites the strings
language changes the category and the other labels, so a category appears in German under de. It rewrites the string counts along with them, which is how 39M followers becomes 39 Mio. Follower. The numeric fields stay as they are. Set it when the answer is for a person in that market, not to get different data.
Failure hides inside a success
A page that never existed, was deleted or is not public still answers 200. The payload then carries error instead of profile, and the call is billed either way. Test for the profile before reading fields, and report a missing page as missing.
Paging drops most of the payload
The first response carries the profile, the photos and one post. A call made with nextPageToken returns posts and pagination only, so the profile is not there to re-read on page two. Keep what you need from the first response before paging.
Contact details are two different fields. website is the display text and websiteUrl is the address that resolves, alongside phone and an owner object.
