Get Grants

Get grants (research funding awards) related to a gene and/or disease. Requires gene, disease_id, or both. Call resolve_gene_symbol / resolve_disease first if you only have free-text names. Returns `name` (what these grants were computed for) and `grants`, a list of funded projects with title, donor (funding organization), recipient, funding amount, and year, where known. `grants` may be empty if no funding data is available.

Resolve a free-text gene reference into a PandaOmics gene entity. Always use this tool whenever a user refers to a gene by symbol, full name, or alias before calling TargetID or indication-prioritization tools, those require the exact canonical symbol or Ensembl gene ID, not a synonym.

Get Kols

Get key opinion leaders (top researchers) for a gene and/or disease. Requires gene, disease_id, or both. Call resolve_gene_symbol / resolve_disease first if you only have free-text names. Returns up to three independently-ranked leaderboards (publications, grants, trials); the same person may appear on more than one. Each entry carries source-specific metrics, e.g. total_pubs/year_last_pub for publications, total_funding for grants, total_trials/year_last_trial for trials.
