Picx Edit Image

Edit one or more existing images using a natural-language instruction. Accepts HTTPS image URLs only — data URIs and local file paths are REJECTED by the API. If you have a local file, first upload it with picx_upload_asset to obtain an https URL, then pass that URL here. COSTS CREDITS per image edited. Generate a brand-new AI video (text-to-video, image-to-video, or reference-to-video) using PicX's models. Picx Get Generation

Check the status of a generation (image or video). Returns the current status, output_url (when complete), credits_used, and any error_message. Use this to poll after picx_generate_video — call every 10-15 seconds until status is 'completed' or 'failed'. Free — does not cost credits.

Picx Upload Asset

Upload a local file to PicX and get a permanent CDN URL. THIS IS REQUIRED before calling picx_edit_image or using a local file as a video frame — /v1/images/edit rejects data URIs and local paths; only https URLs are accepted. If the input is already an https:// URL, it is returned unchanged (no upload). Supported formats: PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, MP4, MOV. Requires the `uploads:write` scope on your API key.

Picx List Assets

List uploaded assets with offset-based pagination. Returns {assets: [...], total, limit, offset}. Each asset has id, url, filename, mime_type, created_at.

Picx Delete Asset

Permanently delete an uploaded asset by ID. The asset's CDN URL will stop resolving. This cannot be undone.

Picx List Models

List available PicX image and video generation models with their credit costs per output size. Use this to discover model IDs before calling generation tools, and to show users accurate pricing. Free — does not spend credits.

Picx Search Templates

Search the PicX template catalogue (50,000+ curated prompts). Use this to find PROVEN generation prompts instead of inventing one. Templates include sample_prompt, category, tags, and media_type — pick one and pass its prompt to picx_generate_image or picx_generate_video.

Picx Get Template

Get full details of a single PicX template by ID. Returns the template's metadata including name, sample_prompt, description, category, media_type, tags, and configuration. Use after searching to inspect a specific template before generating from it. Free — no credits consumed.

Picx Get Account

Get the authenticated user's PicX account details including credit balance, email, and role. Use to check remaining credits before generation or to confirm account identity. Free — does not spend credits.

Picx Get Usage

Get API usage statistics for the authenticated account over a time period. Returns request counts, cost, credits used, and per-model breakdown. Use to report usage to the user or check spend. Free — does not spend credits.

Picx Get Tier

Get the authenticated account's rate limits and daily credit cap. Use to understand throttling constraints before batch operations. Free — does not spend credits. NOTE: This endpoint may not be available on all API tiers; returns an error dict with status 404 if the endpoint does not exist.
