Plan compensation in one place: translate an offer between annual, monthly, biweekly, weekly, daily, and hourly figures; model overtime for a week or two-week pay period; and get a rough idea of net pay after federal withholding, flat state rate, Social Security, and Medicare.

Capabilities

• Pay period conversion: Start from any common period (annual through hourly) and see the equivalent in every other period. Supports custom hours per week and weeks per year so contract and part-time schedules map cleanly.
• Overtime modeling: Split hours into regular and overtime using a configurable weekly threshold and multiplier; the overtime threshold automatically scales when the pay period is two weeks instead of one.
• Take-home estimate: Applies standard deductions, approximate federal marginal brackets (including married filing jointly width), FICA wage limits, additional Medicare tax at higher wages, and a flat state percentage on taxable income. Outputs annual totals plus per-paycheck figures for annual, monthly, biweekly, or weekly pay schedules.

Gotchas

• Take-home is illustrative: Real withholding depends on W-4 adjustments, credits, local taxes, pre-tax vs post-tax items, and employer-specific items. This is not tax or legal advice.
• State taxes: Modeled as a flat percent of federal taxable income, not real progressive state brackets.
• Overtime rules: Many roles, states, and contracts use rules different from a single threshold and multiplier; treat results as a baseline only.
• Rounding: Monetary outputs use two decimal places; tiny drift can appear when you back-solve hourly from daily figures.
