List the caller's WordPress sandboxes with status, public URL, and stack.
List sandboxes — List the caller's WordPress sandboxes with status, public URL, and stack.
Create sandbox — Create a new WordPress sandbox. Provisioning runs on a worker; by default this waits up to ~60s and returns the ready site, otherwise it returns a "creating" site to poll via sandywp_site_status. All fields are optional. plugins/themes take wordpress.org slugs only; to also install a plugin from a ZIP, follow up with sandywp_deploy_plugin on the returned site id once the site is ready. Returns { site, note? }: site.id is the sandbox id and site.status is ready, creating, or failed.
Create sandbox from template — Create a sandbox by restoring one of the caller's templates (fast snapshot restore). Returns { site, note? }: site.id is the sandbox id; poll sandywp_site_status while site.status is creating.
Sandbox status — Status of one sandbox. Returns { site, wordpress, events, jobs, note? }. site is the sandbox record (site.wordpressVersion is the version requested at create time, e.g. "latest"). wordpress is read live from a ready sandbox: { version (installed core, e.g. "6.8.2"), multisite, plugins: [{ name (slug), title, version, status: active|inactive|network-active|must-use|dropin }] }; it is null while the sandbox is not ready, or when the read fails (note says why). events is a human-readable progress t
Delete sandbox — Delete a sandbox (marks it pending_delete and enqueues cleanup). Irreversible.
Restore sandbox — Restore an expired sandbox (only valid when its status is "expired"). Returns { site, note? }: site.id is the sandbox id; poll sandywp_site_status while site.status is creating.
Reset sandbox to clean slate — Reset a sandbox back to a fresh WordPress install, erasing all plugins, themes, uploads, posts, and content. The site URL and admin login stay the same. Only valid when the sandbox is "ready"; not supported for multisite. Irreversible.

Operate SandyWP?
This server appears in the MCPBundles directory. Verify you operate it to take over the listing — name, description, logo, contact email, and skill content. We email a 6-digit code to a maintainer address your server publishes in /.well-known/security.txt or /.well-known/mcpbundles.json. Free, takes about a minute.
MCPBundles publishes this directory for MCP discovery. Except where we host or operate an offering, third-party services run under their own terms. Product and company names on this page are used in a descriptive, identifying way (including under nominative fair use where applicable); they remain the property of their owners. Nothing here grants you rights in those marks, and nothing here is an offer to sell a third party's services. Terms · Request removal

Set sandbox permanence — Make a sandbox permanent (never expires) or revert it to expiring. Permanent requires a paid plan.
Get wp-admin login link — Return a reusable login URL that drops the user straight into wp-admin. SENSITIVE: anyone with the URL has full wp-admin access until it expires surface it directly to the user with its expiry, do not store or share it. Returns { url, expiresAt, note }: expiresAt is an ISO timestamp.
Read PHP config — Read a sandbox's PHP version, current PHP ini config, defaults, limits, and any pending change.
Update PHP config — Change a sandbox PHP ini values (async php_config job poll sandywp_get_job with the returned job id). Provide the fields you want to set; ranges: maxExecutionTime/maxInputTime 10–300s, maxInputVars 100–10000.
Switch PHP version — Switch the sandbox to a different PHP runtime (async php_version job; the worker rolls back on failure).
Read debug settings — Read a sandbox's WordPress debug settings (WP_DEBUG, WP_DEBUG_LOG, WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY, Query Monitor), the defaults, and any pending change.
Update debug settings — Set a sandbox WordPress debug settings (async apply_debug_options job poll sandywp_get_job with the returned job id). This REPLACES the current settings: any toggle you omit is treated as off. WP_DEBUG_LOG / WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY only apply when WP_DEBUG is on.
Read debug log — Tail a sandbox's wp-content/debug.log. Returns exists:false with empty content when logging has not produced a log yet. Enable WP_DEBUG + WP_DEBUG_LOG (sandywp_update_debug_options) to capture output.
Search WordPress plugins — Search the wordpress.org plugin directory to find a plugin slug (e.g. to preinstall on create). Fails soft: returns an empty list flagged unavailable if wordpress.org is unreachable.
Install or deploy plugin — Install & activate a wordpress.org plugin slug, a Plugin Library plugin, or a plugin ZIP on an existing ready sandbox. Provide exactly one source: pluginSlug, libraryPlugin, artifactId, or zipUrl. For premium or private plugins, use libraryPlugin with a name from sandywp_list_plugin_library; GitHub-backed entries install the latest release. When the library entry has a license key (hasLicenseKey), fetch it with sandywp_get_plugin_license after the install and activate it the way that plugin expe
List Plugin Library — List the workspace's Plugin Library: saved plugin ZIPs (uploads, often premium plugins) and GitHub repositories whose latest release installs on demand. Install one on a ready sandbox with sandywp_deploy_plugin and libraryPlugin set to its slug. Entries with hasLicenseKey: true have a license key stored (only its masked licenseKeyHint is listed); fetch it with sandywp_get_plugin_license to activate the plugin after installing.
Add GitHub plugin to library — Add a GitHub repository to the workspace's Plugin Library. SandyWP's GitHub App must be able to read the repository, and its latest published release must carry the built plugin as a .zip asset. Every later install pulls the newest release. ZIP uploads go through the dashboard or `npx @sandywp/cli library add <file.zip>`.
Get plugin license key — Reveal the license key stored with a Plugin Library plugin, so you can activate the plugin on a sandbox after installing it with sandywp_deploy_plugin (libraryPlugin). Activate it the way that plugin expects: its WP-CLI command via sandywp_exec, an option it reads, or its settings screen. SandyWP does nothing with the key itself. Every call is recorded in the workspace audit log. Treat the key as a secret: do not echo it back to the user unless asked, and do not put it in files you create. Error
Get job status — Poll a site job (deploy, php config/version, git deploy, cleanup) by id.
Read SSH connection — Read the SSH connection details for a sandbox (host, port, username, ready-to-copy command, active key count). User-owned sites only.
Toggle SSH access — Turn per-sandbox SSH access on or off (off by default).
Issue ephemeral SSH key — Mint a short-lived SSH keypair for a one-off session. Returns the PRIVATE key ONCE (never stored) surface it to the user with the expiry note. Requires SSH enabled on the sandbox (call sandywp_set_ssh_access first).
Get mount command — Enable SSH on a sandbox and return the command to reach its files from a local shell. The headline is cliCommand `sandywp mount <slug>` which uses the SandyWP CLI to mount the sandbox at ~/SandyWP/<slug> (recommended: the CLI owns the mount behavior and mints its own ephemeral key). Also returns sshCommand (open a shell instead) and rawRcloneCommand, a best-effort fallback for a machine without the CLI that may drift from CLI behavior. This does NOT mint a key. Use it to hand a user (or Claude C
