Create Room

Create a new ephemeral, end-to-end encrypted Transport Pigeon room. Returns the room code and a shareable URL. Share the room code with participants out-of-band — it is also the encryption secret. The room disappears once every participant has left, or after 48 hours of inactivity.

Join Room

Check whether a Transport Pigeon room exists and read its current activity (message count, participant count, last activity). Transport Pigeon rooms have no membership list, so this does not create a persistent session — it's a status check, not a join in the network sense.

Send Message

Send an end-to-end encrypted text message into a Transport Pigeon room. The message is encrypted here, using a key derived from the room code, before it ever reaches Transport Pigeon's server — exactly as a human participant's browser would encrypt it.

Send an end-to-end encrypted image into a Transport Pigeon room.

Read Messages

Join a Transport Pigeon room as a bot just long enough to decrypt and return its recent history plus anything sent while listening, then disconnect. Because Transport Pigeon is end-to-end encrypted, this is the only way to read a room's contents — there is no server-side history export.
