Get top-rated hotels in a destination across all travel styles. Use when no specific intent is mentioned. NOTE: This tool requires Startup tier or above (uses city-matrix endpoint). Sandbox and Starter tier users will get a 403 — direct them to get_best_hotels with a specific intent instead. Search Hybrid Needs

Search for hotels matching multiple travel intents with custom weights. Args: destination: Destination slug from DESTINATION_SLUGS (e.g. new_york_ny, miami_fl, paris_fr). weights: JSON string with intent weights, e.g. '{"business": 0.6, "romantic": 0.4}'. Weights should sum to 1.0. api_key: Optional API key. Returns: Hotels ranked by weighted combination of intent scores, with full detail on top result.

Get Hotel Details

Get detailed information about a specific hotel including scores across all intents. Fetches the city matrix to find the hotel, then drills into each intent via /intents/{id}/. Args: destination: Destination slug from DESTINATION_SLUGS (e.g. new_york_ny, miami_fl, paris_fr). hotel_name: Hotel name (partial match supported). api_key: Optional API key. Returns: Full hotel breakdown with per-intent scores and reasoning.

Compare Hotels

Compare 2-3 hotels side by side for a specific travel intent. Args: destination: Destination slug from DESTINATION_SLUGS (e.g. new_york_ny, miami_fl, paris_fr). hotel_names: Comma-separated hotel names (2-3 hotels). intent: Travel intent to compare against. api_key: Optional API key. Returns: Side-by-side comparison with full scoring detail and a recommendation.

Get Best Value Hotels

Find hotels with the best quality-to-price ratio for a given intent. Args: destination: Destination slug from DESTINATION_SLUGS (e.g. new_york_ny, miami_fl, paris_fr). intent: Travel intent to optimize for. api_key: Optional API key. Returns: Hotels offering above-average quality at below-market prices.

Get Available Cities

Returns the full list of destinations currently available with hotel counts and slugs. Use the slug values when calling other tools (e.g. miami_fl, aspen_co, paris_fr). Args: api_key: Optional API key. Returns: All available destinations with slugs and hotel counts.

Get Available Intents

Returns the list of travel intents you can search by. Returns: All 14 valid travel intents with descriptions.

Get Usage

Check your current API usage and quota. Does not count toward your monthly limit. Args: api_key: Optional API key. Returns: Current tier, usage stats, and reset date.
