  Optional metered-generator path, not part of normal MCP authoring. Use only when the user explicitly asks to use Unmapped's separate AI story generator; a request to create, build, improve, or edit a project does not qualify. Returns the deterministic scene range and minimum/maximum credit cost without consuming credits. Call it before storylab_start_ai_story. Live web research stays off so the confirmed maximum covers the complete run.

• Start AI story creation

  Optional metered-generator path, not part of normal MCP authoring. Start only when the user explicitly asks to use Unmapped's separate AI story generator and explicitly confirms the exact maximum returned by storylab_estimate_ai_story. A general request to create, build, improve, or edit a project is not authorization. The result is a reviewable draft, not an automatic project save. Requires an active trial or paid plan and mcp:storylab.write. Live web research is disabled.

• Get AI story creation status

  Return the signed-in owner's AI story session, including progress, clarification questions, notes, plan, and the complete generated StoryLab draft when ready. This is read-only and free.
