Get transaction context

Call without plan_id on the first Zero interaction to list the user’s plans for explicit selection. After the user chooses, call again with that plan_id to validate it and load eligible account and category names. It never reads the Zero web app’s last-used plan, balances, or transaction history.

Create a transaction

Use this after validating the conversation-selected plan with get_transaction_context. Save an unambiguous expense, income, or bookkeeping-only transfer in the supplied plan_id in the same turn; do not use a web-selected default or request confirmation. Transfer fees default to fee_handling=add_on_top. Use deduct_from_amount only when the user says the fee is included in the stated amount; for example, amount 50000 and fee 10 produces source_debit 50000 and receiver_amount 49990. A transfer only

Search transactions

Searches a bounded set of posted transactions in the supplied conversation plan. Use this for older or ambiguous corrections and deletes; a just-created transaction may use its returned receipt directly. Transfer results include fee_handling, source_debit, and receiver_amount. Results include notes and an opaque revision but never account balances or net worth.

Update a transaction

Corrects an exact bookkeeping record in the supplied conversation plan, using a receipt from create_transaction or search_transactions. Transaction type cannot change. For transfer partial updates, amount remains the user-stated amount and fee_handling can be add_on_top or deduct_from_amount. Correcting a transfer changes Zero records only and never moves money or assets. A stale revision is rejected so the assistant must search again instead of overwriting newer data.

Delete a transaction

Permanently deletes an exact bookkeeping record in the supplied conversation plan. Deleting a transfer changes Zero records only and never reverses or moves real money or assets. An explicit undo may use a known creation receipt immediately; otherwise call only after the exact searched transaction is shown and confirmed. A stale revision is rejected.

Get budget status

Returns the requested month’s budget totals, category availability, and target progress for the supplied conversation plan. It never returns account balances, net worth, or transaction activity logs.

Get spending summary

Returns a bounded category or group spending summary for one month in the supplied conversation plan. It returns aggregates, not bulk transaction history, account balances, or net worth.
