Search products
Full-text search over the Vicious Fun catalog (Japanese kaiju/sofubi vinyl collectibles). Use this to find products by name, maker, category, or descriptive keywords. Most items are ONE-OF-A-KIND or produced in small limited runs, so stock can change between calls; re-check with get_product before telling a user something is available. Returns a compact list; call get_product with a result's slug for full detail.
Get product detail
Look up ONE product by its URL slug (the value in search_products results, or the last path segment of a /product/<slug>/ URL). Returns full detail including description, price, and current stock status. Since most items are one-of-a-kind, call this immediately before recommending or quoting availability for a specific product, rather than relying on a cached/earlier search result. The result includes add_to_cart_url, set only when the product is in stock (null otherwise). Give that link to the
List makers / brands
List the makers/brands in the catalog with their product counts, from the Typesense `categories` collection, sorted by count descending. Use this to discover what brands the store carries before a targeted search_products call with the `maker` filter. CAVEAT: the counts reflect the IN-STOCK catalog only, not the total published catalog: a maker can show a low or zero count while still having a real catalog presence that is currently sold out.
Store policies
Static store information: shipping, returns, authenticity, accepted payment methods, and contact details. Sourced directly from the live FAQ and Customer Service pages; use this instead of guessing at policy when a user asks about shipping times, returns, or how to verify authenticity.
