zip1.io is a URL shortening service that creates compact links with optional customization and tracking. It provides a simple API for creating, managing, and analyzing shortened URLs.
URL Shortening: Create shortened URLs from long URLs with optional features — custom aliases (alphanumeric and hyphens), password protection for restricted access, maximum click limits for link expiration, and descriptions for organization.
Link Analytics: Retrieve detailed statistics for any shortened URL including total click counts, geographic data (countries), and recent activity history.

Input URLs must include the protocol (http:// or https://). Custom aliases are optional — if omitted, a random short code is assigned. Password-protected links require the password to access the destination. Links with max click limits automatically expire after reaching the threshold.
